**Book 2 of the Glimpse Time Travel Series, where mythical muses play naughty matchmakers**
Trickster muse sisters, Clio and Erato, kidnap genealogist Fleur Anpao and dump her in the seventeenth century. Even though Fleur has never been to Scotland, let alone the Highlands, and feels like a modern-day fish out of an ancient loch, the muses have a plan. What it is remains to be ambiguous—they are mischievous muses, after all, and can’t just tell her. Though the logical genealogist wants nothing more than to return home, there’s something about this time and rough land that feels somehow familiar. And there’s something about Duncan MacKay—so strong, so brutally handsome, and so distracting.
As a mercenary for long years, Duncan has seen many things. But never in his life has he seen the likes of Fleur: more beautiful than any woman he could have imagined. It doesn’t matter she insists she’s from another time, or that she’s too far out of reach for a common man like him. He’s drawn to her intelligence and wicked sense of humor. However, Cromwell’s reign threatens anarchy, clan rivalries reach a peak, and a laird’s younger brother vies for her attention. He can hardly protect her from his county’s bedlam, let alone convince her he’s the better man. And if he does, will the bonny time traveler stay with him?
Making matters worse, a god wreaks havoc, or has fun as he calls it, with Clio and Erato’s mortals. The two firecracker time stewards might have to set down their margaritas for this glimpse!
Reviews:
“I am always searching for my next Time Travel Romance book. I love the genre and Highlander of Mine was so fun! It had all the components I want – a sassy modern heroine, a handsome man from the past and the icing on the cake a Highlander!! This story started with Fleur being thrown back into the past to meet up with the ruggedly handsome Duncan. The chemistry between the two was instant, however, the author did a great job at building the tension and attraction with the romance. In other words, no jumping immediately into bed. Their romance was sweet and as the attraction built so did the hotness. The characters were also appealing. Fleur is a smart a sassy woman but also has a very likable vulnerability. Duncan is awkward and rough but is so taken with Fleur that we see his soft side. Fleur is introduced as a Indian Princess and the townsfolk fall in love with her too. The plot was also quite interesting with Duncan’s relative also in love with Fleur which provided for just the right amount of tension. The plot takes some twists and turns that held my interest throughout. Normally, I read through TTR books just hoping for a good romance, but when the story is just as good it’s a great bonus. I would definitely recommend this to romance lovers.” -jcmulligan, an Amazon reviewer
Highlander of Mine is in parts hilarious, educational, sexy, heartwarming, touching, and thought-provoking. Ms. Jameson is erudite and manages to impart her knowledge smoothly into the story, strengthening it all the while. The characters are well-drawn; the main characters are totally sympathetic and stay with you, as does the story and the history. I found myself laughing out loud, holding my breath, caring a lot, and learning more than I would have expected from something so fun to read. Did I mention that there is hot, steamy, very sweet sex? There is love in its fullest, most total acceptance.” – A, an Amazon Reviewer
“
This is the second installment of this GLIMPSE TIME TRAVEL series and in both books, the author makes the characters strong, warm and endearing. And because of those quality characteristics, the reader can easily gravitate to the H/h; and in little time is completely invested in their plight. The delicious sexual tension between Duncan and Fleur, combined with the drama and danger is conveyed with perfect timed precision. Duncan and Fleurs’ roaring attraction becomes an inferno as they slowly learn and know each other. Duncan has many wounds and trauma to work through…and his surprising and humorous befuddlement of hearing himself laugh was a noteworthy awakening. Fleur brings him happiness. I loved this story. It’s not the usual story of a macho aggressive, arrogant, womanizing Highlander hero…but rather of a quiet, considerate yet interesting and commanding man who is naturally drawn to this sparkling and unusual woman. She brings him back to life…she gives him hope. She brings him joy, peace and laughter when he had none.” -Tbascoebuzz, an Amazon reviewer
